Cities are made up of labyrinths that are called streets. The bigger the city the more intricate the street layout is. So being able to see shapes and animals in these layouts is highly possible especially if the canvas used is Tokyo.
To introduce the new Sat-Nav aka GPS for Sony this was the exact concept that they had. They essentially created cycling routes in Tokyo that had animal shapes. These were then used in a whole campaign (and you can even go through each of these routes on their website and via their Twitter feed there is some sort of engagement too- so even the really unfit can experience its joy).
And that is about as much as we got out of this. Sadly my skills outside of my language set are at a bare minimal. But definitely an interesting concept.
