We have been twiddling our thumbs since the announcement in June of the new iOS 8 and it is finally here. The new update has been available since last night.

What to Expect

According to Apple, iOS 8 is “the biggest iOS ever”. The update is obviously free and will be available for iPhones and iPads and will be pre-installed on the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

This new operating system will allow you to easily communicate between their devices and their Mac computers, all thanks to iCloud Drive.

The all new Photos app provides iPhone users with more sophisticated ways to search for photos by the date the photo was taken, location, or album name. With new editing features you can truly create beautiful images right after snapping a shot. If you have shaky hands, don’t fret, the Photos app will now straighten out a crooked shot automatically. There is also an all new time-lapse feature.

Messaging will become super fun! You will now be able to capture sound and make it part of you conversation, with a new dedicated microphone button. You can also see every attachment ever sent in the conversation and send multiple photos.

The new update bring the biggest update to the keyboard since the original iPhone. The keyboard has built-in suggestions for possible responses or words and phrases that are most popular. The keyboard will learn your typing style and the suggestions will be based on your previous conversations.

With the new update you will be able to see which apps are suck your iPhone battery life.

Apple wants everyone to be healthier, hence the new Health app. With this app you will be able to access all the information you need to maintain a healthy life. You will even be able to integrate other health or fitness apps you are already using into one destination for easy access.

How you can get it

Go to Settings on your device > General > Software Update > Download

But, be sure you have enough space as the update can require up to 4,6 GB of storage space.
