1. iPod Classic

Apple wows us every year with its new and innovative tech products, and this year was no different with the launch of the new iPhone 6 series, iPads and Apple Watch. But, sadly the product that basically made Apple the giant it is today, the iPod Classic, was quietly discontinued this year.

2. MSN Messenger

The end for MSN Messenger finally came in 2014, 3 years after Microsoft’s acquisition of Skype. Microsoft had already announced in 2012 that it will be pulling the plug on MSN Messenger or Windows Live Messenger, but the service hung around until this year.

4. Macworld Magazine

Macworld magazine has been a source of everything Apple since 1984. The publisher of Macworld, IDG, will keep the Macworld website running but have decided that as of September 2014 the printed magazine will no longer be available.

5. Flappy Bird

Flappy Bird was one of those games that became too big to handle. The game’s creator, Dong Nguyen, took to Twitter to announce that the game will be discontinued:

I am sorry ‘Flappy Bird’ users, 22 hours from now, I will take ‘Flappy Bird’ down. I cannot take this anymore.
