Apple has released iOS 8.1.3 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
The new update has some bug fixes and new features are added to the platform. However, the most significant update iOS 8.1.3 brings is that it reduces the amount of free space needed on a device to install updates. Before this update you needed a ton of free space to be able to install updates, with iOS 8 needing as much as 4.6GB. The new update only requires about 247 MB, which is significantly less than previous versions.
iOS 8.1.3 fixes bugs in Apple ID logins for Messages and FaceTime, Spotlight search, etc and now has new configuration options for educators.
iOS 8.2 will be the next major version and will include support for the anticipated Apple Watch.
