Animoca Brands, a Hong Kong-based mobile game developer has confirmed that it will be developing a Paris Hilton game.
The developer and Hilton has struck a deal to create a mobile game that will be based on the “socialite, singer, model, actress and entrepreneur”. The company’s CEO, Robby Yung, claimed that Hilton is one of the “world’s most recognised names” and is confident that the Paris Hilton game will be a success stating that:
With Paris’ eye for what’s hot in the latest trends, and our experience at making popular mobile games, we are confident that consumers around the world will be receptive to Paris Hilton mobile games and themes.
This will be Hilton’s second game, having starred in Paris Hilton’s Diamond Quest (Gameloft) in 2006.
Animoca Brands plan to develop the game in phases, by building branded virtual items for in-game purchase before a full game will be developed. The ultimate goal for the developer is to release fully branded Paris Hilton apps. No word on what the game’s genre will be, but we’re guessing that it won’t have a complicated back-story and that gameplay will be simple and fun. Animoca Brands have developed other light-hearted games based on franchises like Garfield and Ben 10.
Kim Kardashian has certainly proved that mobile is king and that a famous face can sell anything with her video game entitled Kim Kardashian: Hollywood. The free-to-play video game was released last year and has already made tons of money on in-app purchases.
