Swedish coder, Einar Öberg, has made an impressive online app cleverly called Brick Street View. Brick Street View is an online app that renders any location on Google Maps into LEGO, because why not?

All you need to do is go to the website and you can get a look at what the world would’ve been like if we were LEGO.  The locations have been layered with LEGO inspired building blocks and comes complete with LEGO cars, trees, plants and even a LEGO sun. Öberg created the software for the pixellated mosaic of blocks based on the colours Google images uses.

We must say that the renderings aren’t perfect and sometimes they look a bit blurry but it is still helluva fun and we lost a couple of hours of our lives playing around with it. You begin with a view of New York City and you can enter any location you can think of around the world. We couldn’t find all of the locations we wanted, with our LEGO character shaking her head when she can’t go somewhere, but these are some of the places we found around the world:

Öberg previously created another cool project called Urban Jungle Street View. Urban Jungle Street View covers the surroundings in foliage, giving it a post-apocalyptic world feel where nature has taken over urban areas.
