Have you ever thought: “Gosh, I would love to see a Game of Thrones musical”? Neither have we, but Coldplay thought it would be a great idea to create a musical sketch about the popular HBO show in honour of Red Nose Day. For those of you who don’t know, Red Nose Day is a massive charity champaign that focusses on helping poverty-stricken children and young adults and has raised over $1 billion over the last 30 years.
The Game of Thrones musical sketch was created by Chris Martin and the rest of the guys from Coldplay and features Game of Thrones actors, Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Nikolaj Coster-Weldau (Jaime Lannister), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Mark Addy (Robert Baratheon), Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Jojen Reed), Charlotte Hope (Myranda), Rose Leslie (Ygritte), Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy) and Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Snow).
The Red Nose Day event has been an annual favourite in the UK and will feature for the first time this year in the US. Stars that will be attending the event include Paul Rudd, Julia Roberts, Neil Patrick Harris, Sir Ian McKellen, Leslie Mann, Will Ferrell, Pharrell Williams, Bill and Melinda Gates, and many more. The 3 hour show takes place tonight in the US and will feature Coldplay’s Game of Thrones musical as well as other musical performances, comedy sketches and short films to highlight the Red Nose Day causes and campaigns around the world.
