We finally get the first look at the new Steve Jobs movie starring Michael Fassbender (Inglorious Bastards, 300 and 12 Years a Slave) as Jobs. Prepare yourself for some serious goosies:
Universal Pictures released the above teaser trailer after production had started earlier this year, with the movie set for release later this year. The new Steve Jobs movie is the second big production film about the late Apple founder, following the disappointing 2013 movie entitled Jobs. Fans and critics were disappointed with Jobs, especially after all the hype leading up to its 2013 release. However, Ashton Kutcher’s portrayal of Steve Jobs wasn’t terrible.
The new Steve Jobs movie sees Fassbender portray Jobs over a period of 16 years and is based on Walter Isaaconson’s 2011 Steve Jobs biography. The script is apparently split into three parts of Jobs’ rise to fame:
- The Macintosh;
- The Next Computer; and of course
- The game-changing iPod.
Danny Boyle is in the director’s chair, with great movies under his belt like Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire and 28 Days Later. The cast is also fantastic. Kate Winslet stars in the new Steve Jobs movie as Joanna Hoffman – An original member on the teams that brought revolutionary Apple products like NeXT and the Macintosh. Other cast members include Katherine Waterston as Jobs’ first love and his first child’s mother, Chrisann Brennan.
But we are especially excited that funny-man, Seth Rogen will be playing the role of Steve “Woz” Wozniak, who was one of the go-founders of Apple. Woz was single-handily responsible for the revolutionary Apple I and Apple II computers and started the company’s rise to become the world’s most valuable brand.
