It’s that time of the year again. It’s been months since the launch of the iPhone 6 and Apple fans are getting antsy for new Apple magic. Queue the inevitable iPhone 6S rumours recently leaked by Ming-Chi Kuo, a KGI Securities Analyst, who has been a trusted source of Apple rumours in the past. Yesterday, AppleInsider obtained a copy of a breakdown Kuo presented to investors setting-out some of the coolest iPhone 6S rumours. We’ve chosen these 5 features from the rumours we would love to see come true when the new iPhone is set to be launched in September 2015:
1. Force Touch
According to Kuo, Force Touch will be the most important upgrade for the iPhone 6s and 6S Plus:
Force Touch can enrich user experience due to more input methods and support of handwritten signatures, which is beneficial for expanding the commercial market.
2. New Colour Option
Rose gold will now be a colour option to choose from if Kuo’s Apple iPhone 6 rumours prove to be true. Rose gold will join the four existing colour options – silver, space grey and gold. Kuo’s report didn’t indicate whether the new rose gold option would be made from actual 18-karat gold like the Apple Watch Edition, which starts at $10 000.00 (about R118 006.00).
3. Camera Upgrade
The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus already have pretty impressive rear-facing cameras. But if the iPhone 6S rumours are true the camera will be upgraded to 12 MP.
4. Better Sound
An extra microphone will be added close to the speaker to improve voice quality and clarity.
5. #BendGate Closed
According to Kuo’s report the bending issue that certain iPhone 6 and 6 Plus users experienced has been resolved by improving the casing material and updating the internal mechanical design.
Will you be getting the rumoured iPhone 6S or iPhone 6S Plus?
