Tony Hawk has been teasing fans for months about a possible return of his skating game and it has now been confirmed that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 will be released later this year.

Developers Robomodo and Disruptive Games also stated that the new game will go back to the classic gameplay the series of the previous 4 titles, when it was at its prime. The new game combines the classic gameplay that fans have come to love with some new features like power-ups and shooting projectiles. You can also choose to complete missions and levels in single player mode or via online co-op and competitive play. You can also upgrade you character online and share the skate parks you’ve built.

Tony Hawk returns as the main character and star of the game and is joined by fellow skaters Lizzie Armanto, Nyjah Huston, Andrew Reynolds, David Gonzales, Ishod Wair, Leticia Bufoni, Aaron Homoki and some fresh new faces.

The game will initially only be available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 version to be rolled out later.
