Snail Mobile has released a 3D gaming smartphone that looks like it doesn’t suck.
Smartphone gaming is nothing new, but gaming smartphones are few and far between. Other companies have tried to create their own gaming smartphones like Sony’s Xperia Play and Nokia’s N-Gage. Snail Mobile wants to change that with the W3D, a gaming smartphone that you can pre-order now through Amazon for $399.99 (about R4 862.32).
This gaming smartphone boasts features specifically included with gamers in mind. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p 3D screen that doesn’t require glasses thanks to eye-tracking cameras. Because it is a gaming smartphone, the W3D comes with a 2.2GHz MediaTrek MT6595 Octa-Core processor and has 2GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.
The W3D has the following gaming controls:
- A D-Pad;
- Shoulder Buttons;
- Two Dual Analog Joysticks; and
- Action Buttons.
It’s standard smartphone features include a 13MP rear-facing camera, 5MP front-facing camera, a 4200Ah battery which apparently can handle up to 7 hours gaming, 16GB internal memory.
The W3D is set for release in September 2015. Would you consider getting one?
