If you’re a true fan and you hate change you won’t hate the new Chuck Taylor All Star II sneakers as Converse and Nike (Nike owns Converse) haven’t made dramatic changes to the look of these legendary shoes. The whole point of the update was to increase the comfort and support of these iconic sneakers thanks to modern footwear technology. Updates include a Nike Lunarlon insole, a non-slip padded tongue, foam-padded collar and a perforated lining for ventilation. The printed Converse logo will also be replaced by a sowed on logo.Chuck Taylor All Star II 2You will recognise familiar design elements like the durable Tencel Canvas material, a rubber toecap and a rubber bottom rim with white foxing.

As with the originals, the new sneakers will come in a low-top and high-top option for girls and guys and will be available in Black, Salsa Red, Sodalite Blue and White. The shoes will go on sale in the US tomorrow (28 July 2015) and will be rolled out later globally for $70 (about R884.84) for the low-tops and $75 (about R948.04) for the hi-tops.
