Puma has released its lightest match boot ever, dubbed the evoSPEED SL.
Each boot only weighs 103 grams which makes it PUMA’s lightest football boot ever and it was designed specifically with the needs of football players in mind. The evoSPEED will give players like Sergio Agüero, Marco Reus, Radamel Falcao, Marco Verratti and Antoine Griezmann a new playing advantage by enhancing their speed and agility. Sergio Agüero praised the new PUMA match boots by saying that:
I am still amazed at home light these boots actually are. The the box with the boots was delivered to my house a few weeks ago, I thought the box was empty. This boot is a real step forward and PUMA has done a really impressive job creating it.
The evoSPEED is made of an almost translucent textile upper material which is why the boots are so light. The low weight PUMA SPEEDFRAME provides stability together with a minimalistic heel counter which fits securely around the foot. Traction studs offer ground penetration which gives player’s the grip to accelerate and change direction quickly and smoothly. The outsoles are fitted with the raised PUMA SPEEDTRACK spine to further support torsion. The launch version of these super light football boots came in an all-new red colour called Lava Blast which was created exclusively for PUMA. Marco Reus describes the evoSPEED SL:
This new boot is a real change to what we have been wearing before, it actually looks and feels like a totally new product. They are so light, you can almost not feel them and still they give me exactly that support I need from a boot. This is a whole new direction of boot design.
