The biggest South African gaming expo, rAge, is heading to Cape Town for the first time since its Jo’burg debut back in 2002. rAge Cape Town will take place on 18, 19, 20 March 2016 at the GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World, Cape Town. To give the Cape Town expo its own unique feel it will be dubbed the “really Awesome geek experience”; whereas rAge Johannesburg is referred to  as the “really Awesome gaming expo”.

The expo will try and be just as big as the Jo’burg one, but the venue is half the size of the TicketPro Dome in Northgate, Johannesburg. This will not stop the awesome merchandise and games from hitting the expo though.

The NAG LAN will also kick off on the same day as the Cape Town expo. On that note it’s good to know that Jo’burg will also get two NAG LANs from now on, with the expo’s Senior Project Manager, Michael James saying:

Besides the introduction of rAge Cape Town, we’re also in the planning stages of bringing another NAG LAN to Johannesburg next year to meet the demand that we simply can’t keep up with anymore. This will also allow us the opportunity to add exciting eSports events to this new NAG LAN event in Jo’burg, as there won’t be a super-busy expo running alongside it.

Tickets for the Cape Town NAG LAN will go on sale on 28 November 2015, and tickets for the Cape Town expo will be available from 01 December 2015 through Computicket. Tickets for the first confirmed NAG LAN in Johannesburg will go on sale on 01 August 2015 and tickets for rAge Johannesburg will go on sale from 01 September 2015 through Computicket.
