In 1994 The Lion King became a smash hit and is still a Disney favourite today. Simba, Mufasa, Nala, Rafiki and Zazu are household names and everyone knows the words to The Circle of Life. Although it’s a Disney movie, it has a lot of sad and heavily emotional moments. But this modern trailer created by video editor Ryan Shukis is way more intense than the original ever:

This new trailer replaces the original friendly narrator with Mufasa‘s voiceover and draws dramatic lines and dialogue from the movie to create a trailer for a seemingly emotionally draining movie. It paints a darker picture of how Simba came of age and accepted the role as king. Also, without Timon and Pumbaa and other silly characters the movie seems way more serious than it actually is.
