As expected, Apple has announced its annual fall (usually in September) iPhone event by sending out mysterious invitations to the press. This year’s event will be held on 09 September 2015 at 10:00 PST (01:00 local time) at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, US which can seat up to a massive 7 000 people.
Apple is expected to release the all-new rumoured iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus smartphones. But, in true Apple fashion, we know very little else about the event or what the two new smartphones will offer in terms of upgrades and design. The most likely of the rumours to prove true will probably be that the new iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus are shipping with Apple’s Force Touch technology which has already been incorporated into the Apple Watch and newer MacBooks. Force Touch allows the touch screen to distinguish between force-sensitive touches, each with a different function.
Aside from the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, rumours have also been swirling that the iPhone event will showcase new iPads, especially the bigger iPad Pro and a revamped Apple TV. The company will also be unveiling:
- iOS 9;
- OS X El Capitan; and
- WatchOS 2.

If you ask Siri to give you a hint she (as expected) just gives you sassy responses, so we really will have to wait until 09 September 2015 to see what Apple has in store for us.
