It is Friday which means it is the day when I force you to play certain games that I think will change your life, not really, but they are pretty great. This week we focus on platformers, classic ones, and ones that you should try out for the first time.

The Megaman Legacy Collection – PS4, Xbox One, PC, 3DS

If you remember Megaman, or Rocketman from way back in the day, you will love the Megaman Legacy Collection. The game brings back the classic Megaman franchise just like you remembered it, in 8-bit. 6 Games all in classic 8-bit with that retro soundtrack. What more can you ask for? I could seriously listen to the Megaman soundtrack all day.

Shovel Knight – PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, Xbox 360, PS Vita, OS X, Linux, Wii U, 3DS

Shovel Knight is a highly addictive platformer that came out of the shadows and brought some classic elements with it that we remember from the Ducktales, Tails Spin, and Darkwin Duck days. It is extremely fun to play as you are a Knight that wields a shovel and needs to save the princess from the evil that has taken her away. SoundS familiar, right? The game is also receiving a free expansion pack soon, so be sure to grab this now and catch up before that.

Limbo – PS4, Xbox One, PC, OS X, Linux, SteamOS, PS3, Xbox 360, Android, iOS, OnLive, Wii U, Ps Vita

Grab Limbo right now for free as a PlayStation Plus member as the game leaves the collection next week Tuesday. Limbo is the highly acclaimed indie platformer that sees a young boy travel through the shadows to dangerous environments to save his sister. The game makes use of physics puzzles to get further into the environment, and one wrong move could spell your demise, which is not pretty at all even though the game is black and white.

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China – PS4, Xbox One, PC

All we have ever wanted is for Ubisoft to set an Assassin’s Creed title in China, and they did, just not what we though it would be. That does not mean that the game is bad, it is pretty decent as you take to the rooftops and sneak your way around Chinese temples, assassinating enemies along the way. Assassins’ Creed Chronicles: China is an Assassin’s Creed game, but just in a platforming perspective.
