FIFA 16 is around the corner and we cannot wait to get our hands on it this year as it brings with it a ton of new features. New career features, gameplay options, women’s national teams, and much more. Check out everything you need to know about FIFA 16 before its launch this coming Friday.
Career mode is vital to any FIFA title, and FIFA 16 has given it an overhaul. Player training allows you to control the development of your players in your club. There are pre-season tournaments added into the mix too, this helps you gain credits that can be used towards your club’s transfers in major leagues.
After scouting a player reports are available for 12 months compared to 3 months in FIFA 15 and free agents can be now signed outside of the transfer window.
Talking about transfers, the transfer budgets are now more realistic and tailored to the club you are using (good luck to all you Gooners), a percentage of the remaining budget from the previous season will carry over to the next but will vary depending on where your club finished in regards to season goals.
The more high-profile moves have been tuned to better match the number of these changes that happen in the real world and the value of these transfers will also be more realistic.
You can now issue unlimited number of substitutions in a friendly match and loans can new be taken out over three to six months, and even a two-year option has been introduced.
And tons more, and seriously, it’s about time.
Women’s Nation Teams
12 women’s national teams have been included in FIFA 16 for the very first time. These teams can be used in Offline Tournament, Online Seasons, Match Day, and Online Friendly matches.
EA Sports have included their Ultimate Team features in nearly every single one of their sports titles since FIFA 09. In FIFA 16 the FIFA Ultimate Team Draft (FUT Draft) is going to be much bigger and better.
Previously Ultimate Team required more than a little too much time and real money to ever see those rare players in your side, but in FIFA 16 and FUT Draft, you choose a team captain from a list of the best in the world. From there you fill out your squad from a random draw of 5 players for each position.
Then its time to challenge others in a 4 match series and try and win coins, packs and more. The FUT Draft Series has an entry fee of 15,000 coins, 300 Fifa points or 1 Draft Token (available in FUT packs).
AI and targeting has been improved to increase control when passing to players which adds to a more defensive AI, you will now stop your opponent with confidence and move with a lot more freedom as a defender. Goalkeepers and midfielders are more dynamic, defend as a unit with new tackling fundamentals also being introduced and no touch passing
Weather in FIFA 16 is taking a major step. The game will have 9 different weather conditions, this includes rain and snow and variations in between. With 50 stadiums in the game, nine of which are new, these weather effects will look great. Over 350 heads have been scanned into the game increasing photo-realistic player models.
