IFA 2015 is over and we have been following all the announcements as they have been happening. This week has been full of amazing products that we will probably never be able to afford, but these new gadgets are mainly stepping-stones for future products. These are the products that stood out the most for us this last week.


Lenovo Phab Plus

Lenovo has been making waves for some time now with their tech, and every year that passes they just get better and better.

The latest offering from Lenovo comes in the form of a Phab and Phab Plus, short for Phablet I suppose. The Phab boasts a massive 6.98-inch, 720p display, and the Phab Plus comes with a 6.8-inch , 1080p display.


The Phab Plus  comes with 32GB storage, 13-megapixel main camera, a 3500mAh battery, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processer that is backed by 2Gb of RAM. It will retail from $299 for the cellular version. $179 will get you the Phab with a lower res display, 1GB RAM, and a massive 4250mAh battery.

Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro


Projecting a 70-inch image fro its built-in projector, the Lenovo Yoga 3 Tab Pro is a powerful little tablet. Packed with a 10200mAh battery, a 10-inch HD display, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel camera, four JBL speakers, and an Intel Atom X5-Z8500 processor.

Samsung Gear S2

Making use of a rotating bezel, the Samsun Gear S2 is the re-imagined watch that will support Android phone, yes, any Android phone, not just Samsung. As long as your device has more than 1.5GB of RAM, you will be able o take advantage of the new Gear S2.


Samsung is confident that users will be able to download over 1000 apps when the device launches, all of them will make use of the new rotating bezel control. The watches will ship in various versions. A 40mm, and a 42mm 3G version. Both of these will pack the same internals, as well as the inclusion of Wi-Fi, yes you watch now connects to the Wi-Fi directly.

Asus ZenWatch 2


What a beauty! 49mm of AMOLED screen, with a metal crown, IP67 rating for all those active users, magnetic charging, and a keen sense of style. The Asus ZenWatch 2 looks great.

Samsung 360-Degree Wireless Speaker


With the ability to fill an entire room with sound, these 360-degree speakers seem like the future of sound design. This is thanks to the ring-radiator technology that powers them.

Phillips AmbiLux TV

Just when you thought 4K was all the rage, now you get projection-backed TV that emit light that go hand in hand with what you are watching. Pico Projectors are placed around the perimeter of the TV that transmit the image  outward behind the display.

This results in a constant light change behind the TV that goes hand in hand with what you are watching.

Asus Windows 10 VivoStick


A PC in a HDMI stick, yes it is real. The ASUS VivoStick is a powerful little device that has a PC built into it to dumb it down. The device plugs into an HDMI port, it can get a keyboard and mouse attached to it, and then you can carry on your day using Windows 10 straight from the device.

Sphero’s BB-8 Star Wars Robot


This Robot has been making waves for weeks now as die-hard fans start to pre-order them for their collection.

This little robot connects to your smartphone and runs off an app. you can drive it around, record holographic messages, or just put it into patrol mode that makes it stay in a certain area based on your sensors on your smartphone. The device is now available to pre-order for a heft amount of R2699.00.
