As the world’s first manufacturer of 4K OLED TVs will be unveiling four new OLED TVs at this year’s IFA in Berlin.
With this expanded OLED TV range, LG is aiming to demonstrate its commitment to get consumers keen on the OLED viewing experience. Lee In-kyu, senior vice president and head of the TV and monitor division at the LG Home Entertainment Company:
Anyone who sees our newest TVs at this year’s IFA will walk away without a shred of doubt that HDR and OLED complement each other perfectly. Our expanded 4K OLED TV lineup will demonstrate to consumers that OLED is here to stay and that LG is committed to leading the next generation TV market
The new range that will be unveiled next week will include the EF9500 units, which are the market’s first flat 4K resolution OLED displays as well as a 65- and 55-inch 4K high dynamic range (HDR) OLED TV sets (models 65/55EF9500 and 55EG9200) and a curved OLED TV (model 55EG9100). Incredibly, the 55EG9200 and 55EG9100 measure in at a slim 4.8mm.
LG’s OLED display technology produces images that are perfect black and colours are more vibrant than ever. OLED panels can deliver the absolute black which makes the bright colour, which makes it an ideal match for HDR content. The design upgrades are insane and the 55EG9200 and 55EG9100 models, measuring in at 4.8mm are thinner than any smartphone out there. And LG has ensure that there is something for everyone by providing curved and flat options to ensure consumers get OLED TVs suitable for any room or environment. In addition, LG’s 4K OLED TVs feature speakers developed in partnership with audio leader Harman/Kardon to ensure that the flawless 4K OLED images will have the best sound quality as well.
All LG’s 4K OLED TVs ship with webOS 2.0 which makes navigating a smart TV simpler, easier and more intuitive and reduces boot time.
