Nearly two months after the passing of Satoru Iwata, Tatsumi Kimishima is appointed as the new Nintendo President, with the company saying in an official announcement that:

We aim to strengthen and enhance the management structure of the Company following President (Representative Director) Satoru Iwata’s passing on July 11, 2015 and a large-scale revision of the organisational structure of the Company on September 16, 2015.

The 65-year-old Tatsumi Kimishima stated that he “planned no changes in strategy and would work to develop younger talent“.
