PUMA and creators of the video game, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Konami Digital Entertainment have partnered to bring you the Phantom Pain Sneaking Boots. These Phantom Pain Sneaking Boots are the first pair of boots that were created solely from a console game prototype. PUMA has meticulously recreated the digital version worn by Snake in the game, while ensuring that you get the best footwear tech at the same time.
PUMA worked with Konami Art Director, Yoji Arakawa to select materials and metal parts, ensuring that the final product looked and felt like an authentic recreation of the digital Phantom Pain Sneaking Boots. The boots are made from a combination of leather, perforated rubber and mesh materials that are stitched together to create a sturdy and weather-resilient boot that will make you feel like a soldier. The Phantom Pain Sneaking Boots go on to boast padded collars to provide ankle support and traction-inducing perforations on the rubber outsole, while the midsole, heel and toe cap are fitted with high-density rubber. These boots were really designed to withstand the elements. We love how the theme of Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain is echoed continuously throughout these beautifully designed boots and the Diamond Dog logo is even placed on the tongue.
Theses new video game inspired boots from PUMA will go on sale at PUMA SELECT in Braamfontein in Johannesburg and in Bree Street in Cape Town and will set you back R9 999.00.
