We all have our favourite shows that we watch over and over again without ever getting sick of them. The characters become like old friends and you’re still delighted by all the jokes and plot twists. But have you ever wondered what the people who make these shows think about them?


The Hollywood Reported interviewed more than 2 800 TV industry people to choose their favourite TV shows of all time, excluding talk shows and news programs. The group of people who were interviewed included:

  • 779 actors;
  • 365 producers; and
  • 268 directors.

The Hollywood Reporter then went on to compile a list of Hollywood’s top 100 TV shows of all time, explaining that:

This poll is strictly about favorite shows, the programs people in Hollywood hold nearest to their hearts

Shows that made it into the top 100 include a mixture of new shows and classics like Desperate Housewives, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Scrubs, The Flintstones, Doctor Who, Entourage, The Golden Girls, Sex and The City and more. Check out the top 10:
