The next instalment in the Far Cry series has been unveiled and it has lots Mammoths in it. Far Cry Primal is set in 10,000 BC during the Ice Age. This survival styled game is being re-imagined in the Stone Age, as players take on the role of Takkar, a hunter who is trying to survive on his own in the land of Oros.
Crafting bows, stone daggers, and other prehistoric weapons will be the game’s primary focus as you try and fell woolly Mammoths, and dangerous Sabertooth Tigers. Ubisoft has described the game as “a full-fledged single player experience.” You will have to “survive in a world where humans are the prey.” This includes hunting for food, making weapons, and fending for yourself. “The Stone Age is the perfect setting for a Far Cry game”, says creative director Jean-Christophe Guyot.
Far Cry Primal will release on 23 February 2016 on PS4 and Xbox One, with the PC version hitting shelves in March
