Get your downloads done before you pick up Halo 5: Guardians on 27 October 2015, as the day-one patch for the game will set you back 9GB.
This news comes from a tweet from Josh Holmes, Studio Head for Halo 5: Guardians where he replied to a user’s question on the day-one patch:

Microsoft advises you to keep your console set to Instant On if you have pre-loaded the game as it will download the update as soon as it is live on the 22nd of October. For those of you who are picking up the retail copy of the game, it will automatically start downloading when you install the game. The day-one patch contains all multiplayer content so the game will not be playable without it.
