Vodacom said they will open orders from 9 October, whereas MTN have not opened any sort of registration process for the phones.
iStore have launched a trade-in scheme where you can get up to R6500 back if you trade in your older devices. This includes Samsung devices, iPhones and iPads. You will receive an EFT of the amount once you have upgraded to your new device. Keep in mind that the trade in device needs to be in good condition with the charger and cable included.
We face stock shortage every year in SA with the release of a new iPhone, and with the festive season approaching, the stores battle to keep up with demand, and at the same time stock shipments do not come in till early the next year. Let us hope that Vodacom and MTN have the sufficient stock available to meet the demand this year. We have no word if Cell-C will be launching the devices at the same time or not.
