UK-based online store, RAC has put together a very cool infographic showcasing what the future of in-car entertainment has in store, looking at BMW’s Vision Future Luxury car, Apple CarPlay, Hyundai’s new system and more.
If you look at the general trend shown for the future of in-car entertainment it seems we are moving towards a more holistic system that caters for entertainment and comfort, while not compromising on driver and passenger safety. Automation and one-touch-control are also heavily focussed on, with our favourite futuristic in-car entertainment setup currently coming from the Mercedes-Benz F 015.
This luxury research car takes comfort to a whole new level allowing passengers to rotate their lounge chairs to face each other or stare out the window. Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars, Dr Dieter Zetsche emphasizes that vehicles are evolving passed the point of only being a way to get around, but will “ultimately become mobile living spaces. Anyone who focuses solely on the technology has not yet grasped how autonomous driving will change our society“.
