The director of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, J.J. Abrahams, decided to answer some questions for Vanity Fair about the upcoming movie, Darth Vader’s grandchildren and more. Abrahams is as silly as always and just plays around most of the questions, careful not to spill any real details of the upcoming and highly anticipated movie. Some of the questions Abrahams even completely ignored like “what’s the deal with the smoke monster?” which came form CEO and Co-Founder of Instagram, Kevin Systrom. Abrahams addressed other hard-hitting questions like whether or not Jar Jar Binks will be resurrected or what it feels like to be the director of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which is “awesome” by the way.
Our favourite question comes from the guy who started it all, George Lucas himself. Lucas asked Abrahams (who looks rather nervous before he presses play for the question) “what happened to Darth Vader’s grandchildren?“. Abrahams keeps as coy as ever and turns the tables on Lucas, saying “you tell me, you made this shit up“. Jarred Leto also managed to creep(y) in a question and wondered why he wasn’t cast as Chewbacca. Jimmy Iovine, the CEO of Beats, was even promised a pre-screening of the movie, well kind of.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens will hit cinemas on 18 December 2015. In the meantime check out the latest trailer, which has already gotten over 50 million views at the time of writing this:
