It is the end of the month which means that PlayStation Plus and Xbox  Live Gold subscribers are ready to see what they will be playing on the house with their respective subscriptions come the first week of December.

PlayStation Plus

This December, PlayStation Plus subscribers will get, wait for it, more indie games. It seems that Sony decided to go with titles that are not cross-platform, meaning you cannot download another version of the game if you own another console. All these games are exclusive to the platform listed.

Gauntlet: Slayer Edition – PS4

King’s Quest – Chapter 1: A Knight to Remember – PS4

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon – PS3

Rocketbirds Hardboiled – PS Vita

Freedom Wars – PS Vita

The only game worth downloading in my opinion is Freedom Wars, the rest are not fantastic really.

Let us see what Xbox has up on offer:

Xbox Games With Gold

Starting from Tuesday 1 December – 15 Decmber, Xbox One owners can download The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing. While Xbox 360 owners can download CastleStorm.

Starting from 16 December Xbox One owners can download Thief, while Xbox 360 owners will get Sacred 3 and Operation Flash Point: Dragon Rising.

Keep in mind that all the Xbox 360 titles that are listed for December, are playable on Xbox 360 thanks to the backwards compatibility feature. So in theory, Xbox One owners are actually getting 5 games in December, pretty great! Here are the trailers of the games for you to peek at:
