Shuhei Yoshida didn’t confirm when we can expect this new app to release, but we’re just stoked they are working on an app for both Mac and PC. This will give the PlayStation 4 an edge over Xbox One which only supports remote play for Microsoft.

PS4 Remote Play

The remote play feature allows PSP and PS Vita players to play on their PlayStation 4 via a network and was developed during the PlayStation 3 days. Now, you’ll be able to play on your PS4 on your Mac or PC.

Dates have not been confirmed, but we can expect to see the app next year.

It seems Sony is attempting to make the PS4 a more rounded console and recently announced that it is working on a PS2 emulator for PS4.
