James Bond is a massive franchise and each time a new movie gets made, brands fork out the cash to ensure their products make it onto the big screen for millions of fans to see. Cars, smartphones, watches and Heineken are just some of the products you’re sure to be exposed to as brands bid to have a few seconds of screen time.
Well, it seems like Sony and Samsung have both been rejected by James Bond actor, Daniel Craig and the movie’s director, Sam Mendes felt like both the smartphones were too “lacklustre” for the sexiest secret agent alive. According to reports, both companies had offered $5 million each for their smartphones to be used by 007, but these offers were rejected., with a leaked mailed from Sony Pictures stating that:
Sam [Mendes] and Daniel [Craig ] don’t like the Sony phone for the film. In their minds, the Sony phone is not the ‘best’
Spectre centres around a mysterious message from the past which sends Bond on a wild goose chase to Mexico City and eventually lands up in Rome. Here he meets Lucia Sciarra portrayed by Monica Bellucci who is a beautiful widow of a very dangerous and well-known criminal. When 007 crashes a secret meeting he discovers the existence of an organisation known as Spectre. The centre for National Security in London doubt whether Bond‘s actions are justified in uncovering this organisation. With the help of Miss Moneypenny portrayed by Naomie Harris and Q (played by Ben Whishaw), Bond tracks down Madeleine Swann (played by Léa Seydoux) to help him find out more about Spectre.
Sam Mendes claims this will be his last 007 movie, but he said that about Skyfall too. This will be the 4th James Bond movie which sees Daniel Craig as the world’s most elite international spy, including Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace and Skyfall.
