The game that we all want right now in our lives is the upcoming Final Fantasy VII: Remake.

It seems that we could be getting is sooner than expected now that it is clear that the game is going to be an episodic game, meaning that it will release in portions rather than one massive game at once.

The press release that was sent out makes this pretty clear stating that the game will be told “across a multi-part series, with each entry providing its own unique experience”.

This could be a good thing as the game is pretty big and by releasing it in portions, it will let us play it sooner than waiting for the entire game to be completed. There is one issue we could face though, the cost of purchasing each episode rather than paying a once off fee for the entire game.

We don’t know for sure if this is all correct or if the press release is a bit misguided. We will definitely keep you updated as we learn more. In the time being, be sure to check out our coverage from the PlayStation Experience event that took place over the weekend, where Final Fantasy VII: Remake gameplay was shown off for the first time.

The Final Fantasy VII: Remake is set for release on PS4 first, followed by Xbox One and PC. No release date is yet known.
