After all the drama that came with Kojima Productions back in September, it seems that Hideo Kojima has found a new home, at Sony.

This news comes from a video which was uploaded on the PlayStation YouTube channel that shows an interview with Hideo himself. Him and Andrew House reveal Kojima Productions will now be part of Sony, and all titles released from now on from the studio, will be PlayStation exclusive.

My employment contract with Konami has been terminated as of Dec 15th, so today marks a new start for me. I’m committed to be involved in creative activities for as long as I live.

Kojima Productions announced that the studio will begin focusing its efforts in developing products that will push the boundaries in innovation and ignite consumer interest worldwide. You can visit the official website as the site is already live.

This partnership could possibly mean the return of the much anticipated Silent Hills, which was cancelled during the internal dispute between Kojima’s former publisher, Konami. Kojima was then “let go” just days after the release of his latest title, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The reason behind this is still unknown, but it seems that it is now water under the bridge as he looks pretty happy on the couch with Andrew House, CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment.
