The ISIS app, called Amaq Agency, is apparently used to give followers of the religious extremist group news and videos. The information provided is reportedly riddled with propaganda and far from accurate news reporting or curating.

The app is basically a news portal for ISIS powered by Amaq News Agency.

The app was discovered Ghost Security Group, a hacktervist group similar to Anonymous. According to an insider the app contains videos of warfare battling and executions and is apparently “designed to streamline access to propaganda“.

The app features a scrolling news feed which contains propaganda  to recruit new members and keep current members loyal. You can change the text size and you can set the app to update automatically.

The Ghost Security Group discovered the app when it hacked into one ISIS’s Telegram channels – an encryption messaging service.
