Just Cause 3 is out today and it is as explosive as ever. Being an open world sandbox game, it means you can go anywhere and do anything you wish.
There’s so much to do in the game that we’ve highlighted the most important things to do first. Be it skydiving, exploding an oil tanker, or just gliding through the air in a wingsuit. Don’t have a copy of the game yet? Well, we are giving one away so make sure you enter our giveaway.

Learn The Controls
The game needs to install and while it does this, you are stuck in a tutorial area called Boom Island. This island is there for you to explore while the game installs, but mainly for you to get the hang of the controls.
Take advantage of this island and learn how to control your Wing Suit. Get familiar with the grapple and parachute, and most of all, get used to using all three of these things together as they provide better ground coverage in the game. If you think that running around on your two feet is going to get you around, think again.
There is no doubt about it, Just Cause 3 is all about explosions and destruction, and we highly advise that you keep to these two main mechanics in the game. Saying that, directing your destructive side to the many locations in the game will not only light up your life in one fiery haze, but you will also unlock new gear, and new challenges and missions to play in the game.
Moral of the story – just blow everything up. The more you blow stuff up, the more you unlock. This leads to my next tip.
In Just Cause 3 you can mod Rico and his abilities to improve on nearly everything he does in the game. These mods cannot be purchased, rather unlocked by completing challenges scattered around the world. These challenges are great and range from destroying everything in your sight, racing in a plane, and boat, and gliding through checkpoints in your Wing Suit. Again, these activities are great to play through and reap some serious rewards.
Help The Little People
Along the way you will come across rebel fighters and civilians that need help. Help them, seriously. These random acts of kindness will reward you in flare drops and beacons which are needed for fast traveling and calling for support units while trying to take control of an encampment. A little help goes a long way.
So there you have some tips for starting out in Just Cause 3. As we play and learn more, we will definitely keep you posted. In the meantime, be sure to catch up with the story so far. Just Cause 3 is out today on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
