The 2016 movies lineup is just as exciting with lots and lots of cool superhero movies and more. Here are the top movies we just can’t wait to watch (so far):

Deadpool

Ryan Reynolds has proved that he can hold his own in most roles and he sure looks good wearing a superhero suit. Reynolds portrays the role of Wade Wilson an ex military man who is diagnosed with cancer. The revolutionary treatment he undergoes makes him go a bit loopy and causes physical deformities and now he wants revenge.

Other stars include Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein and T.J. Miller will join the cast and the movie was directed by Tim Miller.

Zoolander 2

Derek Zoolander (reprised by Ben Stiller) and Hansel (reprised by Owen Wilson) are back and they’re so hot right now. We’ve been waiting for this sequel for ages and it is on the top of the list of 2016 movies we just have to watch.

Zoolander 2 is set 10 years after Derek Zoolander brought down the evil Jacobim Mugatu (reprised by Will Ferell). This time around Derek and Hansel are having a hard time accepting that they are no longer the hottest on the fashion scene. However, Interpol recruits them to assist in a criminal investigation which pushes Derek and Hansel back into the spotlight.

Suicide Squad

The movie was directed by David Ayer and sees Jared Leto as The Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Cara Delevinge as Enchantress and Ben Affleck will be reprising his role as Batman.

The movie revolves around a secret government agency that creates a task force consisting of a gang of super villains and dubs it the Suicide Squad. The agency makes a deal with the members of the Suicide Squad to decrease their prison sentences in exchange for performing dangerous (and suicidal) tasks and missions for the agency.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

In this spinoff directed by Zack Snyder we see Ben Affleck for the first time as Batman.

The movie picks up where Man of Steel left off and will see Henry Cavill reprise his role as Superman. Gal Gadot also joins the cast as Wonder Woman and Jason Momoa portrays the role of Aquaman. Jessen Eisenberg stars in the movie also as businessman and villain, Lex Luthor.

Snowden

The long-anticipated (and  tale of whistleblower Edward Snowden is amongst the 2016 movies that you should look out for.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt stars in the movie as the CIA and NSA agent who blew the lid off of the mass-spying operations the agencies have been performing on millions of people.

The Jungle Book

Disney has been spitting out the live-action remakes the last few years and they are usually pretty epic. The Jungle Book looks like it will follow the same successful recipe.

The new movie is a mixture of live-action and CGI and follows the classic tale of Mowgli  (portrayed by Neel Sethi) who was raised by a family of wolves. When Mowgli is forced to flee the jungle he has called his home since birth he embarks on an epic journey of self-discovery, adventure, discrimination and more. He is once again accompanied by a strict and stern panther named Bagheera and the free-spirited Baloo. Other cast members include Christopher Walken as King Louie and Idris Elba as the fearsome Shere Khan – the tiger who bears a scar from a human and wants to kill Mowglibecause he is a man cub.

Captain America: Civil War

Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off.

With the dust of the possible apocalypse having settled, the world soon forgets what these superheroes have done for the planet and for mankind and now want them to be supervised and regulated. Basically they want to control how these heroes save lives and the Captain (reprised by Chris Evans) is not having any of it, while Tony Stark aka Iron Man (reprised by Robert Downey Jr) assists in keeping him under control.

Alice: Through The Looking Glass

It’s disappointing that Tim Burton won’t be back to direct this sequel to the highly successful 2010 movie, Alice in Wonderland. But luckily Johnny Depp is back to portray his role as the Mad Hatter. This time around Alice (reprised by Mia Wasikowska) once again goes down the rabbit hole to try to help the Mad Hatter get back his Muchness.

Helena Bonham Carter and Anne Hathaway return as the Red and White Queens. Sasha Baron Cohen joins the cast as new character Time.

This is our list so far, stay tuned for some more amazing and enticing 2016 movies.
