In the first movie we saw this iconic car turned time machine needing to get up to 80 miles an hour in order for Marty to travel back in time. In the second movie we saw the car fly and in the third movie it was pushed by a train.

The DeLorean Motor Company took over the original manufacturer of the iconic car to repair and restore existing versions of the vehicles. It’s estimated that about 9 000 of these iconic cars were manufactured between 1981 and 1983, but that only about 6 500 are still around.

Now we might see brand new cars starting to go into the production line.

There is much work to be done from the manufacturing company, but it aims to roll out new vehicles by the end of 2017. The cars will cost around $100 000 each to manufacture depending on what engine is used, which means that you’ll probably never own one.
