Dying Light: Enhanced Edition

You already own Dying Light?

This is probably the most confusing part of the new content pack. If you already have Dying Light, then what do you need to get the new content? Keep in mind that even if you own the original game from 2015, it will be updated to support the new enhancements. The only thing that you will need to buy is The Following expansion pack. If you own the Season Pass from the Dying Light, then the expansion pack is included in purchase.

Any further content updates and tweaks that are released after the release of game, will be added to the main game without any additional purchase.

New Location and Cars

The new location that you get taken to in The Following expansion pack is bigger than the entire original base game itself. The region is a farm land that is full of things to do and places to explore on foot, or in a dirt buggy.

Dying Light will be getting a new bounty system. These bounties will only be available once you have completed the main game’s story and they will come in three forms:

  • Basic,
  • Daily Bounties, and
  • Community Challenges.

Co-Op and Story

Dropping in on a friend’s campaign will not affect your progress at all, rather it will just help you level up and gather new gear. If you and a friend are at the same spot in the story, then you can both progress further together.

The Following’s story takes Kyle Crane, the protagonist from the original game, on a trip through Harran’s outback region that is infected with thousands of zombies. Here he encounters a mysterious cult called The Following, that is capable of changing the face of the world. Crane now needs to infiltrate the cult to unravel their dark secrets.

Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition is set for release on 9 February 2016. The Following content pack is set for release on the same day as a digital download. Here are some screenshots of the game to help you get ready for battle against the undead.
