RELATED: A FRIENDS REUNION IS COMING SOON
David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc spent an evening together celebrating legendary TV show director James Burrows. The almost full cast of Friends took the time to snap a shot with The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, Jim Parson and Johnny Galecki.
The Friends reunion is part of an NBC special, Must See TV: A Tribute to James Burrows.
Matthew Perry was unable to attend the event because he is in London working on a play, but NBC confirmed that he will still appear in the two-hour special in pre-recorded footage.
Burrows has been in the TV show industry forever and has directed shows like Will & Grace, Friends, Mike & Molly, Cheers, The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men and Frasier. The special took place to celebrate the 1000th TV show episode he has directed with an episode for NBC’s Crowded. Burrows has been in the TV show industry for over 40 years and has directed 15 of the Friends episodes. Burrows was behind one of the show’s most popular episodes – The One Where Ross and Rachel Take a Break – which became a long-standing quote on the show.
The two-hour special is set to air in the US on NBC on 21 February 2016.
