But did you know that Simon Pegg, Daniel Craig, Lupita Nyong’o and more were in the new Star Wars? Check out who you might’ve missed thanks to great make-up and costume as well as out-of-this-world GCI:

SPOILER ALERT: If you haven’t seen the new movie then you might not want to read further as there might be some spoilers.

Daniel Craig

If you may remember Rey pulls off a very kickass Obi-Wan-like Jedi mind trick when she orders a Stormtrooper to let her go. Apparently this weak-minded Stormtrooper is none other than 007 aka Daniel Craig himself.

Judah Friedlander

Better known for his role as Frank Rossitano on 30 Rock, the funny hat-wearing comedian makes an appearance in J.J. Abrams’s new movie. Judah Friedlander is officially credited as a Bar Patron, which means he is one of the cool cats who hang out at Maz Kanata‘s cantina.

Lupita Nyong’o

Maz Kanata, the wise alien is described by Star Wars director J.J. Abrams as:

A pirate who has lived over a thousand years. She’s had this watering hole for about a century, and it’s like another bar that you’d find in a corner of the Star Wars universe.

Gwendoline Christie

Most of us knew that Game of Thrones star, Gwendoline Christie would be in The Force Awakens thanks to a whole bunch of promotional material. But if you never saw any of the hype material then you might not have picked up that she portrays the role of Captain Phasma.

Simon Pegg

You may remember that Rey got her rations from a junk merchant called Unkar Plutt, which she traded scavenged parts from the Graveyard of Ships with. That’s Simon Pegg.

Simon Pegg New Star Wars

We all knew that Simon Pegg was in the movie as he never kept it a secret. But the costume and makeup was so brilliantly done that very few would’ve been able to determine that the merchant from Jakku who tries to buy BB-8 from Rey is actually Simon Pegg.

Bill Hader

He may not have physically starred in the movie himself, but funny man Bill Hader is officially credited as a sound consultant for the new droid, BB-8.

Ben Schwartz from the Parks and Recreation franchise is also credited as a sound consultant for the adorable new droid.
