Take In The Sights
From the moment you start off in Far Cry Primal, one thing is clear – the game is absolutely stunning. From the sun hitting the mountain tops, to the natural waterfalls which make for a soothing stroll under them. The game certainly has one of the best looking worlds to date.
Each area in Far Cry Primal has been designed after the elements of creation. Water, ice, fire, wind, and earth. So while you are exploring Oros, be sure to take all the time you need to take in the sights and sounds of the game.
If anything, Far Cry Primal relies on you gathering resources to make tools and weapons. If you do not have wood, meat and slate, then you are pretty much sabretooth food. It is important to gather as much as possible whenever you can.
Other Wenja tribe members will leave resource packs scattered around the world for you to take anything you want from them. To keep the wild animals from getting to it, they have tied it high in a tree. Use your arrow or spear to toss it down, also remember that you will get them back after you walk up to the sack, so don’t worry about wasting them.
Tame A Beast
You are going to need all the help you can get in Oros, and Far Cry Primal comes with the best help anyone could ever ask for, animals.
There are various beasts that can be tamed in the game by tossing some bait at them. These beasts all help you by taking out enemies and going in for the kill silently. I recommend taming the Black Jaguar first as it’s really powerful and has quite a lot of health. Oh, and don’t forget to pet your beast, they are doing half the work for you anyway.
Use Your Owl
You will automatically tame an owl in the early part of the game, and it will come in handy throughout the entire game. The owl can be used as a sort of drone to scout the area ahead and tag enemies who are in the way of your objective.
Later on in the game, you can teach your owl to carry bee bombs and fire bombs which it then tosses at enemies from above, becoming one lethal bird.
Collect Those Collectables
Like previous Far Cry games, there are hundreds of collectables scattered around the world for you to find. They unlock unique skills and grant you a chunk of XP, which is important for unlocking these skills.
Always check your map for any blue hands and caves which you can find the paintings in. This is what they look like.
Far Cry Primal is out today on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
