The device will be the biggest design overhaul of the G series since its initial introduction. LG is calling the G5 a “playground for users“. Along with the device LG also revealed a wide range of new products like a VR headset, 360-degree camera, a B&O Play Hi-Fi plus speaker, and H3 headphones for the device.
The G5 will come packed with the following internals
- Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Processor
- Display: 5.3-inch Quad HD IPS Quantum Display
- Memory: 4GB RAM / 32GB Internal Storage / microSD up to 2TB
- Camera: Rear – Standard 16MP, Wide 8MP / Front 8MP
- Battery: 2800 mAh (removable)
The device will feature a 135-degree field of view camera at 8MP. The phone will have a removable battery which slides out of the device and back in with ease. The device will feature an always-on screen which will display time and notifications, similar to the V10. This display will use 0.8% of power per hour, which will barely even make a dent on your battery life.
As the WMC rolls out over the next day, we will have more news and info on the devices revealed. We know that Samsung has its Galaxy S7 event taking place, and will report back on what the have on offer this year.
