Every year the celebrated sport of American football gets international attention thanks to the famous Super Bowl. Most people watch this sporting event just for the half-time show, the commercials and the movie trailer premiers. This year fans got treated to some awesome new trailers for upcoming movies, including the brand new Bourne movie.
This year’s Super Bowl brought back Bourne as we finally got to see the first trailer for the fifth instalment of this popular spy action franchise starring Matt Damon. This movie is simply entitled Jason Bourne. The movie is set for release in July this year.
The Jungle Book
The release date for Disney’s life-action adaptation of this classic is drawing nearer. While we (im)patiently wait for April to arrive, we were treated with another cool movie trailer for The Jungle Book during the SB50.
Independence Day: Resurgence
Will Smith might not be back in this highly anticipated sequel, but Independence Day: Resurgence doesn’t look half bad. This time around Earth has been preparing itself for a second wave of alien attacks after the events of the first Independence Day movie. The movie is set to come out in June of this year.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows
Our favourite teenage crime fighters are back in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. Megan Fox returns to wear minimum clothing as April O’Neil, while the famous turtles in a half shell face off against their most dreaded enemy, Krang. The sequel is set to come out in June 2016.
Captain America: Civil War
Coming out in May of this year, Captain America: Civil War has fans speculating how Spiderman will fit into the highly anticipated release from Marvel Entertainment.
The X-Men return and this time around we get to see the most popular of all mutants, Apocalypse. He was one of the first mutants to exist. After thousands of years he wakes up and recruits a bunch of other mutants to clean the world of non-mutant humans. The movie is set for release in May 2016.

Writer of this movie, J.J. Abrams describes the upcoming sci-fi horror as a “blood relative” of the 2008 movie, Cloverfield. The movie basically takes place in a cellar and is sure to be very creepy and intriguing.
