If you did not take part in the beta in December, you can opt into participating in it now by visiting this link and heading to the bottom of the page where it says “Beta Sign Up”. If you get in, then great, but Blizzard is not letting everyone into the beta, so good luck with that.
The beta update, for those who still have the old version, weighs in at 1.23GB, which makes the full beta, for those who have never played it before, sit around 6GB.
The new beta has some new features, modes and maps to play around in, as well as bug fixes and general gameplay improvements.
- An all-new progression system
- Two new maps, including a new game mode
- Several hero balance updates
- And a variety of Private Game updates, including full A.I. matches
We played the last beta and loved it, and we plan on spending the next week grinding through the new modes and maps, we will have some footage on the game up soon. Overwatch launches as a full disc and digital download for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on 21 June 2016.
