2016 might not be the year we get that console Assassin’s Creed game we have always wanted, but at least we will get to play a new Assassin’s Creed on our mobile devices. Ubisoft have shed some light on its latest Assassin’s Creed project, Assassin’s Creed Identity.
Set during the Italian Renaissance the game will feature a progression-based experience system like past games. The game will also introduce classes like Berserker, Shadow, Blade, Trickster, and Thief. The game will feature a massive open world to explore on your mobile device. You can play the game with a single tap control movement scheme, or you can use an on-screen analogue to play the game. Ubisoft also has plans to support external control pads for the game.
The game will let you select your assassin and class and train and build them in an RPG based character skill tree. Your character and equipment will determine your approach on each mission.
Assassin’s Creed Identity is set for release on 25 February 2016 exclusively for iOS and will require iOS 7 or above, and an iPad 3, or iPhone 5 and above to run the game.
