The DOOM closed beta starts today, which means that if you played Wolfenstein: The New Order before 26 May 2016, then you will soon receive an email with an invitation to the test. The beta will begin on 31 March at 4 AM South African time, and continue until 3 April at 6 AM.

PC gamers will need specific specs to run the beta on their PCs. Here are the system requirements:
- Core i5-2400 or AMD FX-8320
- NVIDIA GTX 670 (2GB) or AMD Radeon HD 7879 (2GB)
- 22GB Storage Space
- 8GB RAM
- Steam account
Note that no mobile GPUs are supported for this beta test, nor is the GTX 750 Ti.
PS4 and Xbox One owners will need to redeem their code at their store of choice.
The beta will contain two maps: Heatwave and Infernal with two game modes including 6v6 Team Deathmatch and Warpath. The beta will have a wide selection of weapons like the rocket launcher, plasma rifle, super shotgun, lightning gun and more. Expect to find frag grenades, the teleporter and the siphon grenade.
