To the dismay of many Facebook users this meant that you would now be getting a constant flow of notifications whenever one of your Liked Pages makes use of the Live Video feature on Facebook. The feature could be cool for those Pages you love every video they post, but it could be absolutely maddening for Pages where you’re not too interested in. Luckily the feature isn’t an absolute one and you can turn it off.

You will need to wait for a Live Video notification to come in first before you’re able to turn the notifications off. Also, you will have to perform the below actions for every Page you’ve Liked as there is no way to universally or bulk turn the notifications for Live Video on Facebook off.

Here’s how:

Mobile

Open the Facebook app on your mobile device > Tap on the notifications button in the top right corner > Swipe from right to left over the notification of the Live Video > Tap More > Tap Turn off notifications about life videos from PAGE NAME

Desktop

Sign into your Facebook account > Click on the notifications button in the top right corner > Click on the down arrow situated on the top right side of the notification > Click Turn off notifications about life videos from PAGE NAME.

Facebook told engadget that it is working on a way to turn of the notifications for Live Videos through the Settings Menu on Facebook.
