It’s not a long weekend but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t plenty of movies to enjoy this weekend and this weekend there are plenty of apocalyptic movies to ejoy as well as others. Here are some of the movies you’re sure to enjoy this weekend:

10 Cloverfield Lane

Dan Trachtenberg makes his directorial debut in this sequel in the Cloverfield apocalyptic movies franchise and sees Mary Elizabeth portray the role of Michelle who gets into a car accident rendering her unconscious. She wakes up chained to the wall in an underground bunker with a man named Howard (portrayed by John Goodman) who tells her he found her on the side of the road and brought her to his bunker after a mass outbreak of a deadly skin disease.

Z For Zachariah

Chiwetel Ejiofor, Chris Pine and Margot Robbie star in this postapocalyptic drama directed by  Craig Zobel.

Eddie The Eagle

This sweet story based on Michael “Eddie” Edwards’s life tells his story after he became Great Britain’s first olympic ski jumper. The biography was directed by Dexter Fletcher and stars Christopher Walken, Hugh Jackman and Taron Egerton.
