It was recently revealed that Affleck has signed up for two Justice League movies in which he will be portraying the caped vigilante. We will also see Affleck star as Batman in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie. This means that we will see him in the role four more times after he recently starred in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. We also learned that Affleck has penned a script for the solo Batman movie, with WME-IMG’s co-CEOs Ari Emanuel and Patrick Whitesel stating that:

There’s a script that [Ben Affleck] has written that is a really cool [Batman] idea, so that’s out there as an option.

After the success of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy in which Christian Bale portrayed the role of Bruce Wayne aka Batman, Affleck will have some massive shoes to fill. Will Affleck direct a great Batman movie which can hold its own against the Batman movies Christopher Nolan and Tim Burton directed? Only time will tell, because Affleck tends to hit and miss. His acting and directing careers have been a series of successes like Good Will Hunting which saw him win an Oscar with pal Matt Damon, or massive misses like Gigli.
