Charlize Theron has been confirmed for Fast and Furious 8.
Confirmation that the South African born actress will be joining the Fast and Furious franchise comes from cast member, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The Rock, who is currently filming the Baywatch movie, took to Instagram to welcome the actress to the cast of Fast and Furious 8:

In the picture, The Rock poses with Theron and Carla Gugino in front of an airplane. The Rock calls Theron “my good bud and all around bad ass” when he welcomes the actress to Fast and Furious 8. The actor goes on to explain in the caption that Theron will be playing a villain in the upcoming movie, with Theron’s response being:
I’m coming to mess that shit up!
Theron took to her own Instagram to post the same picture, with the caption:
Momma, I officially made it! I’m @therock ‘s “good bud”
After the massive success of Furious 7, it was confirmed that another three movies will be made in the franchise which started back in 2001. The next movie in the franchise is set to hit cinemas in April 2017.
